ImmuPharma receives further installment of grant for developing cancer drug

Cephalon and ImmuPharma Sign a $15 million Option Agreement for Late- Stage Experimental Lupus Medication

FRAZER, Pa., and London, UK (November 25, 2008) -- Cephalon, Inc. (Nasdaq: CEPH) and ImmuPharma PLC (LSE:IMM), a European pharmaceutical company, today announced that the companies have signed an Option Agreement providing Cephalon with an option to obtain an exclusive, worldwide license to the investigational medication Lupuzor™ for the treatment of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. ImmuPharma is now conducting a large Phase IIb study of Lupuzor in patients in Europe and Latin America.

Under the terms of the option agreement, Cephalon will pay ImmuPharma a $15 million upfront option payment.  If the Phase IIb studies are successful and if the option is exercised then the parties enter into an exclusive worldwide license agreement and ImmuPharma will receive a one-time license fee, milestone payments upon the achievement of regulatory milestones and royalties on commercial sales of Lupuzor.  The various milestone payments which include sales milestones may total up to $500 million.  Upon exercise of the option, Cephalon will assume all expenses for Phase III studies and subsequent commercialization of the product.

LupuzorTM patents allowed in US and approved in Japan, Australia - other countries expected to follow

ImmuPharma PLC (LSE:IMM), ("ImmuPharma or the "Company") the specialist drug discovery and development company, is pleased to announce that the LupuzorTM patent was approved in Japan and Australia and received notice of allowance from in the US Patent Office. LupuzorTM is ImmuPharma's lead drug compound for the potential treatment of Lupus, a chronic, life-threatening autoimmune disease.

In addition, the mechanism of action of LupuzorTM has been identified by researchers working with ImmuPharma at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in Strasbourg. LupuzorTM has shown that it modulates, through a unique mechanism, a specific subset of CD4 T cells which play a critical role in the physiopathology of Lupus.

INTERIM HIGHLIGHTS

■ First patients dosed in Phase IIb trial of our lead asset for lupus, IPP-201101, during the period under review with subsequent ongoing progress being made and headline efficacy data expected later in the year;

■ Successfully obtained LUPUZOR™ trademark for IPP-201101, our lead asset for lupus

■ Encouraging pre-clinical data from new portfolio candidate, IPP-204106 for multiple forms of cancer

■ Raised £2.7m in a share placing from UK and Swiss institutional investors;

■ In addition to our discovery pipeline, our portfolio now includes five drug candidates:
            IPP-201101, LUPUZOR™ for the treatment of lupus
            IPP-204106, for the treatment of cancer
            IPP-201007, for the treatment of inflammation
            IPP-102199, for the treatment of moderate and severe pain

ImmuPharma raises additional £1.1 million (CHF 2.2 million) to advance development programmes

ImmuPharma PLC (LSE:IMM), ("ImmuPharma" or the "Company"), the specialist drug discovery and development company, announces that it has raised additional proceeds of approximately £1.1 million (£1.07 million net of expenses) or approximately CHF 2.2 million principally from institutional investors based in Switzerland through a placing of 1,876,000 new ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company at a price of 60 pence per share.  This represents the final tranche of the placing announced by the Company on 2 July 2008 (the “Placing”) and is subject to the same terms and conditions, as set out in the Appendix to this announcement.

Long term toxicology studies confirmed the safety of LupuzorTM

ImmuPharma PLC (LSE:IMM), ("ImmuPharma" or the "Company"), the specialist drug discovery and development company, announces today LupuzorTM its treatment for Lupus, a chronic, life-threatening autoimmune disease, completed the first leg of the mandatory long term toxicology study package. International regulations require two long term toxicology studies (6 and 9 months) for drug products intended to be use chronically. ImmuPharma reports that the first study has been completed and that there was no clinical or laboratory findings suggesting any safety issues. Further, an interim analysis of the second study supported these findings. These studies were requirements from The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) in the US prior to initiating ImmuPharma's Phase III programme.

ImmuPharma’s cancer drug candidate IPP- 204106 shows complete response to tumours in multiple human cancer cell lines

ImmuPharma PLC (LSE:IMM), ("ImmuPharma" or the "Company"), the specialist drug discovery and development company, announces today pre-clinical data on its new cancer drug, IPP-204106. Data on ImmuPharma’s anti-cancer nucleolin antagonist (“Nucant”) peptide programme, IPP-204106 have been obtained confirming the ability of the compounds to effectively control and stop the growth of a large panel of human cancer cell lines both "in vitro" and "in vivo". Collectively the studies comprised breast cancer, prostate cancer, melanoma, glioblastoma, leukaemia, colon cancer and pancreatic cancer cell lines.

ImmuPharma enters oncology with novel potential blockbuster drug for multiple cancer indications

ImmuPharma PLC (LSE:IMM), ("ImmuPharma" or the "Company"), the specialist drug discovery and development company, announces today that, as part of its ongoing research collaboration with the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique ("CNRS"), France's scientific research institution, it has taken the rights for the worldwide development and commercialization of a novel drug candidate for cancer.

The molecule, code-named IPP-204106, has a dual mechanism of action, acting both in preventing angiogenesis as well as proliferation. IPP-204106 is a nucleolin antagonist, the lead molecule in a family of pseudopeptides designed to block the activity of a protein called nucleolin. Located essentially in the nucleus of normal cells where it is protected, nucleolin is much more abundant (often 100 times more) at the surface of the cells which are proliferating as well as the surface of active endothelial cells where it can be a target for antagonist peptides.
