ImmuPharma’s cancer drug candidate IPP- 204106 shows complete response to tumours in multiple human cancer cell lines
ImmuPharma PLC (LSE:IMM), ("ImmuPharma" or the "Company"), the specialist drug discovery and development company, announces today pre-clinical data on its new cancer drug, IPP-204106. Data on ImmuPharma’s anti-cancer nucleolin antagonist (“Nucant”) peptide programme, IPP-204106 have been obtained confirming the ability of the compounds to effectively control and stop the growth of a large panel of human cancer cell lines both "in vitro" and "in vivo". Collectively the studies comprised breast cancer, prostate cancer, melanoma, glioblastoma, leukaemia, colon cancer and pancreatic cancer cell lines.

First Lupus patients dosed with IPP-201101 in phase IIb study

Assuming continued satisfactory patient recruitment with the trial, headline efficacy data are expected in the summer of 2008 as previously indicated.

ImmuPharma enters oncology with novel potential blockbuster drug for multiple cancer indications
ImmuPharma PLC (LSE:IMM), ("ImmuPharma" or the "Company"), the specialist drug discovery and development company, announces today that, as part of its ongoing research collaboration with the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique ("CNRS"), France's scientific research institution, it has taken the rights for the worldwide development and commercialization of a novel drug candidate for cancer.
The molecule, code-named IPP-204106, has a dual mechanism of action, acting both in preventing angiogenesis as well as proliferation. IPP-204106 is a nucleolin antagonist, the lead molecule in a family of pseudopeptides designed to block the activity of a protein called nucleolin. Located essentially in the nucleus of normal cells where it is protected, nucleolin is much more abundant (often 100 times more) at the surface of the cells which are proliferating as well as the surface of active endothelial cells where it can be a target for antagonist peptides.

Initiation of Phase IIb trials for IPP - 201101 in patients with Lupus; Allows earlier release of efficacy data in mid 2008
ImmuPharma plc (LSE:IMM), the specialist drug discovery and development company, announces today that following its discussions with the US Food and Drug Administration ("FDA"), it has obtained feedback that refines the phase II/III programme for IPP- 201101 in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. The outcome of this consultation with the regulator has been the segmenting of the development programme into separate phase IIb and phase III trials. The company had previously expected a single phase II/III trial in 240 patients over 12 months. The revised plans allow the company to have additional phase II data, which has the potential to enhance its commercial attractiveness, earlier than previously expected and continuing with a simpler phase III trial in Q3 2008, broadly in line with previous development timelines. ImmuPharma expects the first patients to be dosed into the phase IIb trials very shortly.

ImmuPharma plc (LSE:IMM), ("ImmuPharma" or the "Company"), the specialist drug discovery and development company, announced today that following its discovery activities on its chemical library, it has discovered a new molecular series with potential application in inflammatory/allergic conditions such as asthma and rheumatoid arthritis. These molecules, in the programme code-named IPP-201007, have utility as selective phospholipase A2 subtype inhibitors and are already patented through ImmuPharma's library broad patent.

The meeting was held following the successful completion of the phase I trial of IPP-201101 and the initiation of the phase II trial, results of which are due to be announced before year-end. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss technical and scientific information and the proposed clinical protocol design for IPP-201101.

ImmuPharma PLC (LSE:IMM), the specialist drug discovery and development company, announced today that its IPP-201101 treatment for Lupus, a chronic, life-threatening autoimmune disease, has entered into Phase II clinical trials. The first group of Lupus patients in the study have already been given the drug.
This European Phase II study in Lupus patients is a proof of concept, dose ranging, safety and efficacy study. The efficacy will be assessed using appropriate surrogate markers that are involved in the disease and biomarkers related to mechanism of action of IPP-201101. Results from this short duration study, expected by year end, will be of great value in preparation of pivotal Phase III studies.

ImmuPharma announces successful results from its phase I clinical trial with IPP-201101 for Lupus

ImmuPharma PLC (LSE:IMM), the specialist drug discovery and development
company, announced today that it has successfully completed the
placebo-controlled phase I study involving 24 healthy volunteers of its
lead compound IPP-201101 for Lupus, a chronic, life-threatening autoimmune
disease.
This study, which took place in France, was the first administration in
humans for IPP-201101 and was designed to assess its safety and
tolerability. The preliminary safety report confirmed that the drug was
safe and well-tolerated.
